REVIEW: Toy Story 2 3D
Toy Story 2 is one of the best movies of the 90s, already visually rich in its storytelling without the technical achievement 3D has brought to the cinema-going experience. Now, newly released in 3D the film has taken on a whole new life, reintroducing a much loved cast of characters to a new generation of children, ahead of the summer release date of the highly anticipated third instalment.

The Toy Story trilogy intorduces the childhood belief that toys come to life when nobody is around. The sequel gives those universal themes a stronger impact and, contrary to popular belief, far surpasses the first installment. It’s obvious that Pixar has added a post-production 3D effect, by slightly changing the image and framing of the picture. Some scenes benefit from the style but overall don’t improve on what already existed. The film merely enhances the accomplishments made by the filmmakers, as audiences ready themselves, against all hope, that this franchise can produce three fantastic instalments.
