REVIEW: Jedward – Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)
Louie Walsh’s diabolically awful twosome have launched their attack on the music industry before the spotlight and novelty fades. It is more likely that the terribly tacky twins will spend their golden years perfoming at Butlin rather than topping charts, despite their newly announced UK Tour.

Which, much to the distaste of Jedward haters is selling out fast. However, to give them some credit, their ‘new invention’ is a good idea, blending the classic ‘Under Pressure’ by Queen with Vanilla Ice’s ‘Under Pressure’ which, samples the Bowie/Queen tracks iconic bassline. When the has-been star is brought back to duet on this mash-up, it gives the novelty track its crowning glory and reinforces the the doubts exisit about Jedward’s credibility as genuine performers. The record isn’t that terrible, but as months pass by and fewer find the pair amusing, the living nightmare will end.

I can’t believe this shoddy piece of journalism has remained unchallanged on this website for so long. Just goes to show how out of touch Gown writers/readers are with the real world!
You describe the pair as “diabolically awful” and a “living nightmare”. Of course you’re entitled to your opinion, but your opinion of Jedward puts you in a very small minority. Most people think Jedward are great, and not just a novelty act. They recieved more votes even than Olly throughout the show… and their single is one of the most entertaining things in the charts. Indeed, even Simon Cowell said they are “sort of good.” Where are you getting your information that “fewer find the pair amusing”? A quick Google-search reveals that tickets to their shows all sold out within minutes.
