WIN: Tickets to see The Pogues!

The Pogues are set to play St. George’s Market on 2nd December. Courtesy of CDC Leisure, we have one pair of tickets to give away for the gig!

Formed in 1982, The Pogues scored a string of hit albums combining traditional Irish folk with a punk sprit, embodied by their notorious frontman Shane MacGowan.

To enter the competition, just email us your name and mobile number to info@thegown.org.uk, with ‘Pogues’ in the subject line. We’ll pluck a lucky person at random.

Competition closes on Friday  27 November 2009 at 9:00am.

I swore I saw him in the Limelight last New Years Eve…subsequently told the DJ that he was there and got him to play Fairytale of New York in his honour…

Needless to say…Worst case of beer goggles I’ve ever had in my life…turned out it was a farmer from Fivemiletown…

Which is why I should be chosen to see the big man in the flesh! Comprende?;)

in 2008 tickets sold that badly that the guys from cdc were running around the union the night before the gig handing out free tickets to staff. They couldn’t give them away in some cases
